The Meningitis Flag is revealed plus...5 more powerful campaigns that use flags as powerful symbols.
A snapshot look at a trending campaign with a curated pick of past campaigns that use a similar creative approach in some way.
Pharmaceutical company Sanofi has launched a “meningitis flag” as a global unifying symbol to raise awareness about the deadly disease. Inspired by how the proudest moment for any athlete is to fly their country’s flag, creative agency Leith and textile designer Laura Spring co-designed the Meningitis Flag to represent patients, families, and the community.
The global campaign will be showcased online and across social and will be promoted by influencers and international athletes, including three para-athletes who share their stories of overcoming the disease. The flag, which features distinct shapes and colours representing different concepts behind the design, aims to help accelerate the work to defeat meningitis by 2030.
